Ramble in the Hills - Cody Tyler

First weekend in December
Hell if I'd remember
When she walked right out the door
But I really don't give a damn
I'm heading for my hunting camp
Tired of playin' matador

On the highway tryin' to be first
Worked me up a big thirst
Stopped off in Waterville
Tried dancing with the ladies
But them boys were lookin' shady
So I took off for the hills

Bourbon bound for a ramble in the hills
Convoy's got more booze than a whiskey still
Gonna try our luck in the morning, maybe put a bullet through a whitetail
Bourbon bound for a ramble in the hills

Now I'm 44 northbound
Shotgun with a hunting hound
Nose out of a roll window
Pedal to the floorboard
Flying on my own accord
41 miles to go
Sober was a hard sell
When I rolled into the Hotel
Stupored for another round
Stumbled out the bar drunk
Fell into a tree trunk
Split my ever-loving crown

Bourbon bound for a ramble in the hills
Convoy's got more booze than a whiskey still
Gonna try our luck in the morning, maybe put a bullet through a whitetail
Bourbon bound for a ramble in the hills

Oh that shine went down so smooth
Spent the night with them coyotes howling at the moon
We didn't hit the tree stand till the afternoon
Ohhh shouldn't have played with hundred three proof

Bourbon bound for a ramble in the hills
Convoy's got more booze than a whiskey still
Gonna try our luck in the morning, maybe put a bullet through a whitetail
Bourbon bound for a ramble in the hills
